2/5 Super Bowl

Feb. 5th, 2012, Super Bowl is in everyone's mind. This evening, our beloved NE Patriots will play again NY Giant in the Super Bowl. So, this morning, our children sermon also started from the topic of Super Bowl.

We discussed about how crazy Patriots' or Giants' fans are about their teams. From their customs, painted faces and enthusiastic behaviors we can easily tell whose fans they are. Then we talked about what Jesus' followers should be like. Can people tell whether we are Jesus' followers or the followers of the world.

We studied the Galations 5:22
“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”
and 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

From there, children learned that Jesus' followers should have love, joy and peace in them. And we should be living like a crazy fans for Jesus everyday.

After the worship and sermon, we had our own Super Bowl game :-) Enjoy the photos.
