CBCGN Children: 5/13 Why we love our Mothers by Sarah Yi

Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers today!!! Today was a very special day for us. It was Mothers Day!! In the morning, the children led the adults worship. We sang in the sanctuary. The songs we sang were: 在你宝座前, 天父的花园,让赞美飞扬, 宝贵十架. We praised the Lord and learned Chinese at the same time. I guess that would be a good gift for our mothers!! It seemed like the kids (including me) forgot the words!!! After we sang the songs, Ginger A-Yi gave us flowers to give to our moms. After we were finished with that, the children's group went back to the chapel. In class, Yan-Yi A-Yi led us to read Proverbs 31:10-31. Our memory verse today was: Her children arise, and calls her blesses, her husband also, and praises her. These verses were reflected that how our mothers cared and helped us. Then, we answered some questions and prayed. Since we already had worship in the morning, Zhaoyang Shu Shu decided we can play outside!!

When we were outside, Zhaoyang Shu Shu brought us plastic balls to play dodge ball. Then, a neighbor across the street brought us two more boxes full of same balls to us! Then, the youth group came over to "play" with us. Some kids (Lily and I) started targeting the youth as opponents. I think Grace got hurt the most!! Later on, a few kids went inside since it was cooler inside. The rest of the kids buried Kendle and Crystal in the boxes with the balls! Then, I got an idea to fill a box with balls, and dump them on Zhaoyang Shu Shu. Zhao Rou A-YI got him out and we dumped!! The balls kind of got all over the church, though. We all pitched in to clean up. By then, it was lunch time. The funny thing was because of mother's day, all the DADS were serving, and some were wearing flower aprons!

Lunch was yummy, but after, some kids went to Chinese School. We were rehearsing for the end of year party. Today we definitely had fun, and don't forget to tell your mom, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!
