6/3 New Life in God - By Timothy Yang

Today at Sunday school we first read 2 Kings 17:7-23, and we found out that the Israelites disobeyed God and worshiped idols. We should not disobey God and not worship idols. Then we read 2 Chronicles 36:18-23 where we can see that God punished the Israelites by burning down their temple. Then we read the Bible reading cards Ginger passed out to us. Today we got Ezra and Nehemiah. After that, Jixia Shu-shu took over. He told us to flip to Psalm 139:16; it was our memory verse: Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. We discussed about it, and after that we had a prayer.

In worship we sang: “My life is in you Lord”, “This Little light of mine”, “Ancient Words”, and “You Raise me Up”. After that we watched a movie about the life cycle of a butter-fly. What it means is that it is like changing into a new life. Today our sermon title is New Life. New Life in God is like him washing away our sins even if we sin after we believe in God. But if we confess and repent, he will forgive us.

At last, we did offerings and prayers.
