Garden planting - 7/10

Many children are back in town after July 4th holiday. We had a pretty big crowd in our Children worship yesterday (7/10).
The sermon topic this week is about "Planting God's Word in our hearts" and it's titled "How Does Your Garden Grow?" After the sermon, boys and girls actually planted a flower garden near the church gate. Boys cleaned the ground and put down top soil, Girls planned the coloring pattern and planted a couple of dozens the summer flowers, in the end, they watered the plants and cleaned up all the tools and garbages. It was an excellent team work and they finished it right on time. You should be proud of them. Attached please find some photos of the garden planting. The flower will be in full blossom in a couple of weeks. Please enjoy them.

A side note, after the sermon, I told the kids, we would have some fun and planted an actual flower garden. One kid responded "That's not fun, that's work!" You have to admire the kid's honesty ^_^ However, it does make me thinking "why our children think work is not fun". It shows we have a lot of work to do to help them grow. I think that work is fun, don't you? If you are interested joining our children ministry, please let Chunlei or me know. On Children worship side, we always need help on sermon for kids and activity afterward.

Emmanuel!
