1/15 Sharing Jesus with friends - by James Liang

This week at church was a lot of fun. We did lot’s of things. First, we did a new exercise. It was a lot harder than the first exercise we started with but it was way more fun. Then we sang some songs like How Great Thou Art, I Will Lift Your Name On High, Sing,Sing,Sing, and 天父的花园 .

After we sang some songs, Uncle Wang came up to do the object talk. Today’s topic was Come and See. Today’s scripture was John 1:43-49. It said:

The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.”
Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false.”
“How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.
Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”
Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.

Then Uncle Wang told us how Philip told Nathanael that he had found Jesus. So Nathanael went to go see Jesus. Uncle Wang explained to us how Sarah’s mother told David and him that all 5th and 4th grader can go to any mountain in NH for free skiing and snowboarding but you have to write a story about skiing or snowboarding. So he and David went to go snowboard. Then he told Christopher about it so Christopher went snowboarding too. This is just like how Philip told Nathanael that Jesus had came.

Next we played a game. For the game, you had to memorize a sentence and pass it on to the next person without making it different. But it was always different. Like If the sentence was “ there was a guy named Noah and he built a ark” it would turn into “ there was a guy named Noah”. So they would miss the most important part. Lastly we had Felix do the offering and pray.

This week’s Sunday School was fun and we also learned a lot of things about Jesus. I hope we can have another Sunday as good as this one.
