4/15 Doubting Thomas - by Timothy Yang

In this Sunday school class, we first reviewed the Bible reading list with Ginger A Yi, and got the Bible cards for Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. We talked about that in the old times God was Israelites’ property and that 603,515 men came out of Egypt. Those Israelites failed to enter their promised land. Then our teacher Yanyi A Yi came and had a morning prayer before class. We then read Psalm 23:1-6, and were divided into 2 groups to answer questions and draw pictures of what the story means.

After the little kids joined us, we sang “No greater gift”, “I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N”, and “宝贵十架”. Our sermon title is “Doubting Thomas”. We got started with an experiment, how do you connect 2 paperclips without touching them? First nobody believed until we saw that happen with our own eyes. We then watched a short movie about Jesus’ coming back to life. Thomas, a disciple of Jesus, didn’t believe that Jesus has risen until he saw & touched Jesus’ nail prints on his hands. Sometimes we are just like Thomas; we have to see to believe like the experiment we did. But Jesus said to Thomas, “Because you have seen me you have believed, blessed are those who have not seen but yet have believed.” We discussed that none of us had ever seen Jesus but we still believed. We are glad that we are those who are blessed! Finally we had offering and prayer, and traced our hand as a project. I had a super-duper day at church!

Trying hard to connect two pins without touching it with hands
Here is the trick

See, it is connected
Working on our project

I believe!
