CBCGN Children: 10/23 Having compassion for our sick teacher

Tonight at the dinner table, I asked my kids, David and Crystal, what they learned at Sunday School today. They told me "compassion". I thought that's big word for kids to understand. So I asked David about the meaning of "compassion". He answered "caring about people". I guess, he gets it.

Then I asked Crystal, "your teacher Huang Feng A-yi is sick today, how do you show your compassion for her?" She answered, "I missed her because she brings good snacks. And we pray for her." Yes, she did prayed for Huang Feng A-Yi at the dinner prayer, before we even had the conversion. So she definitely got it too. Good job, Jixia Shushu.

It must be a terrible day for their Huang Feng A-Yi, hope she gets well soon. And it is definitely a challenge day for their Jixia Shu-shu since he needed to take care of both classes, k-2 and 3-5. As far as I can tell, that's a piece of cake for our "冰雪聪明的小马哥". I had a sneak peek at his class. All kids were in a circle, with bigger kids helping younger ones from k-2 class. What a nice way to show compassion for their sick their teacher, Huang Feng A-yi, having her students well taken care of.

Next Sunday 10/30 is World Sunday School Day at our church. We will have joined worship with Adults, youth and children. More importantly, children will do all the worship services from greeting/ushering, worship leading, playing piano, scripture reading, opening prayer, leading responding song, collecting offering, etc. And Ginger A-Yi will give a sermon followed by a slideshow and children sharing of children Sunday school. I have no doubt they will give their best to God next Sunday. But they need you to bring them in on time :-) So come early, and have them all settled by 9:40am, five minutes before we start the worship.
