10/2 How many chances do we have? - by James Liang

Today we learned that Thomas Edison created the lightbulb and gave it to a little boy to see if it works. So the little boy walked caraefully up stairs but he dropped it and it broke. But the next day Thomas Edison gave the little boy a 2nd chance and this time he didn’t drop it and the little boy tested it and it worked. That’s just like how God gave us chances but god didn’t give us just 1 chance, he gave us lot’s of chances. Our bible story for today was about a man who had a vineyard. He had to go somewhere so he hired some people to take care of his vineyard. But the people were cruel so they killed his son so that he could not pass on his vineyard to his son. So the man fired them. That’s we are so lucky because God is giving us a lot of chances. And that’s what we learned this Sunday.

God is 24/7 ...
... watching over you!
A light bulb story
The parable of tenants is a hard to understand ...
Why the tenants killed the landowner's son?!
Waiting for our chances.
Our offering to God

  1. Children have been writing the Sunday worship blog for a month now. Hope you all enjoy their writing and photos. It is been a great opportunity for us as teachers to know how our sermon messages are received each Sunday. Well, apparently, we have a lot to work on, but that is a great and fun challenge to have :-)

Last Sunday’s message was built on the parable of the tenants, Matthew 21:33-45. The tenants were Israelites (or all of us), they (we) were greedy and wicked, and rejected landowner’s servants (God’s prophets) again and again. In the end, the landowner (God) sent His own Son, their last and only chance left to repentant and turn away from their sins, and yet they killed the Son. So the landowner took away their lands (kingdom of God) and gave to others.

I was joking with their Sunday school teacher, the reason kids didn’t get the story was because they have no concept of rent 地租, should learn the story of “杨白劳和黄世仁” first ^_^

    Blessings,
    Zhaoyang
