12/4 Preparing the way - by Emily Guo

Today at Sunday school, the first thing we did was to join the adults in the big hall. Then we went to our classrooms. In the classroom, Elise and I took part in a memory verse and then we switched parts. Another thing is that we met a new person and her name is Lilian.

Later on little kids joined us. We sang four songs and one of them is called Noel. After that we read a verse in the book of Isaiah in the Bible. We also had offering and then we praised the Lord. The last thing we did was to cut out candles and put them on our fake green circle. Then we cut out the flames.

The whole day was fun to my friends and me. I enjoyed Sunday school very much.

Our bible memory is much clearer than this picture

  1. This is our second advent Sunday, we watched a "Advent tutorial" video together followed by a quiz with boys verses girls, I am very impressed with how much they learned about "Advent Sundays" and even the little ones earn some credit for their teams. The two teams are pretty much tied at the end :-) We also talked about getting ourselves prepared for Jesus' coming. As you know, children will be performing the Christmas pageant on Christmas eve this year, I believe kids are all working hard on their parts. This is also a good reminder for us to be fully prepared and get ready for the show!
