PandaMania VBS 2011 (8/1-5)

The first 2 days of VBS were really fun. It is fun because there are a lot of stations, like the movie, the crafts, the bible, the snack, the singing, and the game station. My sister Crystal's favorite station is the movie station and mine is the game station.
The movie station is where you watch movies of Chadder chipmunk.
The game station is where you play all kinds of fun games.
The crafts is where you (everyone) makes crafts.
The bible station is where you learn a story of the bible.
The snack station is where you have snacks near the end of VBS.
The singing station is where you sing songs to God.
When we go to these stations 2 groups go together. Here are the groups: A and B, C and D, E and F, and the preschool group goes solo. Also you get stickers for being good. You can only get up to 10 stickers each day. Each day we learn a bible point everyday day: Day 1 was God made us and Day 2 was God listens to us.

This week was VBS for the year 2011. Every year there's a theme. This years is PandaMania. We learned a lot of things about Jesus Christ. Each morning, the children get in their groups. The groups are A,B,C,D,E,F, and preschool. Then our "leader" which is Tom, leads us to sing songs about God, and we all learn a bible point and a verse from the bible. Then we get a little skit from some helpers.
In VBS , there are 5 stations we go to including snack. The stations are Game, Bible, Movie, Craft and Snack. Each group goes to their own station with one other group, though. All these stations you do different things. In Game station, you play all sorts of fun games that all relate to God and Jesus. Some games even get you soaking wet! In Bible station, you learn about stories that come from the bible. Each day has a different story. At Movie station, we watch a movie about Chadder the Chipmunk. We also do God sightings. That is a activity that relates to the bible point. In Craft station, the kids make unique crafts to take home on Sunday. Last but not least is Snack station. You've probably already guessed what we do here. Yep! We make snacks... and eat them!! That's all the stations we have at VBS!!
After those stations, we have a thing called Rowdy Wrap-up. This is when you sing more songs and get little demos of some very funny and serious activities. Then we do an ending prayer and announcements. At 12:00, all the helpers and helpers children get to eat lunch. Then some of the helpers has to help clean up. And that's what is happening at VBS PandaMania 2011!!!

This year's summer seemed such a bore,
But when VBS came, I wasn't sore no more
Jumping, singing, dancing all around,
Shouting, screaming, making all this sound.
Suddenly my laziness started to lift,
And then my happiness never went adrift.
I learned lots of things, about the lord king,
God made us, and made no fuss,
He listens and watches unto us.
God loves us, no matter what we do,
but he'll never betray us, even if we're bad, too!
He also gives great gifts forever and ever.
And will he ever not listen to us? NEVER!!
After this experience, I learned more than many,
And praised to the lord,
Times many more.
VBS was fun, with the movies and the games,
And the crafts and snacks, never too lame!
I played and I had fun,
But the first time I came I was to stunned.
So pray to God and he'll listen,
But remember if you don't,
Think of all the things you're missing.

On Day 1, when we just got there, it started quickly and we learned 4 songs. Group A and B (including me) went to Bible Adventures where we went back in time to when God created the world. Next we went to the movie station and we watched Day 1 of Chadder's Mystery of the Missing Pandas. Then we did an activity. After that, we went to Crazy Crafts. We made a panda to hold all the bible buddies throughout the week. When the crafts were done, we went out for the game station. We played with water. The game was related to the bible story we learned (God made rain!). Then we went inside for snack. Each food represents a thing. When snack was over, we had another worship.
My crew leader is Mary's Mom. There are more than 1 Station Leader in each group. There are about 2,3,or 4. The kids in group A are me, Michael, Luna, Warren, Jeanie, and someone (I forgot their names).My favorite station is the crafts station. My favorite song is "Watching Over You".
I felt really happy to be there. All the stations were really good too. I felt happier when the songs are happier too.
